It’s what we do to start the game; it’s what we do between quarters, at halftime, on third-down conversions and when scoring touchdowns; it is what we do that makes us proud of our university and our team. It sets us apart from everyone else in our league and gives us a unique brand of who we are and all that we stand for. It is called tradition (a state of mind, a state of inner being and an outer manifestation of emotional spirit) or simply “pride and joy”.
Whether you show your devotion to a varsity team with the clothes you wear or the gear you amass over time, the truth is that all fans should be aware of at best a handful of the many traditions that are upheld. on campus or at the football stadium. From adrenaline rushes to chills, from moments of solitude and silence to moments of deafening chants and stadium rumblings, there isn’t a college campus or college stadium where you won’t find a steadfast and enthusiastic student body or fan base. involved.
Speaking of stadium noise, this is reminiscent of a Metallica favorite. The Virginia Tech Hokies are known for their explosive “Enter Sandman” entrance onto the football field as the crowd jumps up and down as the music fills the air, causing a roaring effect throughout the stadium. If you’re a fan of college sports and haven’t been to Lane Stadium for this experience, put it on your bucket list. Representative school mascots of live animals accompany their team to the field as Uga, the bulldog from the University of Georgia and Ralphie, the enormous buffalo from the University of Colorado. Warriors like Tommy Trojan and the Travelers from the University of Southern California and Chief Osceola riding a beautiful Appaloosa with a flaming spear take center stage to begin their performance on the field.
Others may rub their hands for good luck with significant chips or token structures before leaving the team tunnel or setting foot on the playing field, such as Clemson University’s Howard’s Rock and University of Maryland’s Terrapin. Infamous arm movements like the University of Florida’s notorious alligator bite and hand gestures symbolizing megaphones for the South Florida Bulls and Texas Longhorns, or bursting out chants like “We Are… Marshall” or “Let’s Go” … tigers”! And then there’s a bit of history to highlight in things like Georgia Tech’s “Ramblin’ Wreck” and Oklahoma’s “Sooner Schooner.” Regardless of what any college or university embraces with tradition, those values introduce a deeper inner feeling of pride and energetic exuberance.
Invariably, the acts of the traditions are not limited to fight songs, school sports colors, game day chants, body movements, team spirit cheers, and scoring rituals, but they are sure to be learned and carried out by newcomers. faithfully game by game, year after. years and decades to come. Many times, countless traditions seem to have been magically, or accidentally, invented in the heat of the moment with no real reason or purpose in mind. They may have started as an unintentional moment of playful expression, sometimes even perpetrated as some sort of joke. Whether it’s coincidence or persistence, these college sentiments have all the right things inhabiting the hearts and minds of students and parents, fans and spectators, players and coaches, staff and faculty members to the point where one can hear. say: “The color orange is in my blood” or “I bleed purple”. You can’t get any closer to the heart than that.

It was recently reported on Yahoo News that 1 in 7 voters were still undecided on their voting preference just days before the election. This is a big decision and an important event. These decisions are where the True Self insists on being expressed, while the habitual pattern of the human mind is still in play. It could be loosely said that consciousness strives to manifest itself.
However, weighing things up logically will not solve the dilemma.
The human mind operates on logic and worldly fears. If I vote for Obama, will it raise my taxes? On the other hand, if I vote for McCain, will he send more troops to war? The human mind cannot know these things no matter how long it struggles to answer them.
These are Soul decisions. The soul has a completely different agenda than the human mind. The Soul strives to grow: expanded capacity to love, expanded joy, generosity of Spirit and heart. Indeed, these Soul goals are ultimately expressed through human means on the planet. Policies that include, rather than exclude. Legislation that goes against the thinking of the human mind, of course. So the human mind comes in with its fears and limitations: but what would that mean for my wallet and my job?
The Soul knows that there is Infinite Supply. That is the key difference between the thinking of the human mind and the Divine thinking. Every offense that has been committed on Earth has been outside of the thinking of the human mind which believes that there simply is not enough of all good things to go around. And in this economic climate, the appearance of lack is there for just that purpose: to make you FEEL rather than think your way through this choice.
When you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place, whether it’s a vow decision or a relationship decision, you come face to face with your True Authentic Self urging you to go for it. Be free! Love! Expand! Risk! And your human mind that is small and fearful and wants you to play it safe, stay small and don’t risk anything or rock the boat.
The inner experience in this position is tortuous. Yes, No, Yes, No. We go back and forth, round and round making pancake batter in our minds. The answer is always to stop the mind, quell it and quiet it until it becomes still. Then feel your way through the puzzle. Truth, Love and Growth are always the potential in every irony or paradox.
Should you go the way you’ve never gone before? Should you stray from your conventions, especially since you were so eloquent a few nights ago? What would people say? How can I understand this?
Once again, the Soul does not understand the thought process of the human mind. We changed. we grow We expand because that’s what we came to Earth for: to play, to love and to enjoy adventure without fear.
Once you have answered the call of your Self and chosen the opposite of your human mind, you will feel relief and contentment spread through you. This is your Self saying, “Well done.” The fruits of that new choice will ripple through every area of your life, as you have chosen joy and love over fear and limitation. You have grown and expanded.

Solar energy has been used to heat water at home in many countries for more than 40 years. While the initial cost of these systems was once considered high, the rewards provided by harnessing a free energy source like the sun are now well documented and appreciated by hundreds of thousands of solar hot water customers around the world.
The beauty of solar energy is that it does not pollute, it is cheap to maintain and it is a completely green renewable energy source. Look, that’s the key. Solar energy is free from the sun. By using solar energy, we are not taking any natural resources like oil or gas from our fragile planet that cannot be replaced. Solar energy is actually available to everyone who wants to take advantage of it.
With the development of new technologies, a revolution in home electricity generation is now in its embryonic stages. Using solar panels similar to those used in solar water heaters but made up of photovoltaic cells (when sunlight hits these cells, it is transformed into electricity) it is now possible to generate free electricity from the sun’s energy. Plus, it’s now possible to further reduce the costs of installing one of these systems in your home or business by building your own solar panels.
Compared to the expense of buying prefabricated solar panels, huge savings can be achieved using simple techniques and tried and tested designs. Some prefab systems can take ten years or more to pay for themselves, making the investment decision a little more difficult for many people in these tough economic times.
Of course, the beauty of any DIY project isn’t limited to the actual cost-saving benefits. By building your own system, it can be custom designed and built to meet your specific purpose. Of course, there is also a sense of accomplishment when a project gets off the ground, even more so when you start to see a direct benefit through reduced energy bills for years to come.
There are many kits available that include major components made by some of the world’s largest and most well-known electrical companies, or you can find complete plans and drawings to do everything yourself. It really is a matter of how adventurous you are and even if you are not a complete expert, many of the options available are suitable for the beginner. Another added feature of going the DIY route is the flexibility these expandable systems offer. You can start small and add more panels as needed.
So my advice is to do your research as there are quite a few DIY solar systems on the market. Like any home project, you want quality plans with realistically achievable results. Personally, whenever I build something, I read what other people are saying about the results they’ve achieved and make sure I have the skills and tools that will be needed. In the case of home energy, it’s really a no-brainer: Anyone who thinks the price of electricity is going to go down is kidding themselves. It may also be possible in your area to return electricity to the power grid creating even more reductions in your energy bills. Obviously these types of home systems will be a bit more complex than the basic types, however I have seen these systems work and they are not as complicated as you might think.

The burgeoning elder care market has introduced a host of new concepts and terms that are easily confused. Many people believe, for example, that the life care and continuing care communities are the same thing, and use these terms interchangeably. However, life care is actually a subset of continuing care. While the offers may appear similar at first glance, don’t be fooled. Let’s take a look at the differences between the two, starting with continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs).
CCRC vs. life care communities
CCRCs offer contractual agreements to people sixty years of age and older, providing them with a continuity of services, usually on the same campus. These services include independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and sometimes memory care. Although all CCRCs offer continuous care, some rely on contracts with other care providers to manage higher levels of care, which may be located off campus. This means that residents moving into the independent or assisted living levels would have access to higher levels of care as their needs progress, but may need to move off campus to access those services. Most contracts require the payment of an entry fee (sometimes called a “buy-in” or “purchase” fee) and monthly fees. Some contracts include the purchase of real estate (ie, the resident’s apartment within the community), which can be willed or deeded to an heir like any other real estate purchase. However, not all contracts involve the purchase of real estate. Under these terms, the seniors would become residents of the community, but would not own any property under the contract. Buy-in or entry fees can range from $10,000 to $500,000 or more.
Life care communities provide the same ongoing care to a resident for life, but the biggest difference is this: residents who cannot afford their monthly care fees will be subsidized by the community, with the same access to services and without interruption in care or change in priority status. In other words, residents are guaranteed the same quality of care and access to care from day one to the end of life, regardless of their personal financial situation. Also, most life care communities offer all health care services on the same campus. The idea is that, after qualifying through a health and financial application process, residents will never have to move again, except between levels of care as needed. So, for example, a resident may be required to move from assisted living to skilled nursing as their care needs progress, but the new place of residence will be on the same campus. However, certain states allow living care communities to provide skilled nursing services off campus, as long as it is under the ownership and supervision of the living care provider, and not through a contract agreement. There is another significant difference. In a lifetime care community, residents do not own real property under their lifetime care contract. Upon the death of a resident, the apartment (or room) she occupied reverts to the community.
Because there is no federal agency that governs CCRCs and life care communities, terminology and requirements vary from state to state. However, the easy way to distinguish between a community life care and a CCRC is by the type of contract: type A is considered life care; Types B and C are considered continuing care.
The types of contract: A, B and C
In general, there are three types of continuing care contracts: Type A (Extensive or Whole Life Care), Type B (Continuing or Modified Care) and Type C (Fee for Service). Each type of contract involves a different degree of risk for the resident and the community. The highest level of risk is assumed by communities with a Type A contract and the lowest by Type C. The opposite is true for residents, where Type A is the lowest risk and Type C is the highest. Each type of contract has different fee structures, corresponding to the levels of risk assumed by either party. Some continuing care communities offer only one type of contract, so contact the community you’re interested in to see which one(s) they offer. Here is an overview of how each contract works:
Modality A: Extensive or Lifetime Contract
With this type of arrangement, consumers take the least amount of risk, but pay a lot of money. A Type A contract provides housing, services and amenities, and unlimited access to long-term nursing care at little or no additional cost, apart from periodic inflationary increases. The higher initial rate is based on the assumption that these residents may require, and use, higher levels of care as their needs develop over time. This can add up to substantial savings over a resident’s lifetime, considering Medicare doesn’t cover custodial nursing care, which currently costs more than $250 a day, for a private room in a nursing home. Plus, prepaying future health care costs qualifies these residents for significant tax benefits (the IRS medical deduction). Residents are generally required to maintain a minimum level of Medicare coinsurance.
Who it’s good for: People who want to make sure all of their health care needs are covered for the rest of their lives.
Type B: Continuous or Modified Care Contract
A Type B contract also provides housing, services and amenities, but access to long-term care and nursing services is restricted to a specific number of days. After that, the resident is responsible for any additional care costs incurred. Some contracts allow residents to pay for additional care at a discounted rate once they have used up the care included in their contract. As with a Type A contract, residents are eligible for the IRS medical deduction.
Who it’s good for: People who can afford care costs not covered through their contract and those who don’t expect their health care needs to increase significantly over time.
Type C: fee-for-service contract
With a Type C contract, access to health care is guaranteed, but residents must pay the full cost of the services they use. Under this type of agreement, residents receive housing, services and amenities as defined in the contract. Some communities do not charge an entry fee for Type C contracts, but only charge a monthly fee. However, other communities charge an entrance fee, and the funds subsidize a resident’s assisted living or skilled nursing care. If the cost of care exceeds the funds obtained from the entrance fee, the resident will be charged the full cost of any services used. This can happen if a resident requires prolonged skilled nursing care. For those who require higher levels of medical care later on, the cost can be extremely high. At a daily rate of $250, nursing home care costs rise rapidly, creating a significant financial burden for residents without long-term care insurance or significant financial resources. Residents do not qualify for the IRS medical deduction under a Type C contract.
Who it’s good for: People who are willing to take the full risk of health care costs.
Benefits of continuing care
Continuum of Care gives residents convenient access to most of the services they need, all in one place. With the exception of a Type C contract, the cost of those services is included in the rates you pay under your contract. Although medical care is the basis of the contract, it is certainly not just medical care. Let’s take a look at what’s included in a typical continuing care agreement:
* Access to an on-site doctor by appointment, five days a week.
* Home visits during illness to assess condition.
* Meal delivery during illness.
* Daily van service to an off-campus hospital.
* The option to retain services under a separate medical plan, with certain provisions.
* Three meals a day, weekly cleaning service and laundry of sheets and towels.
* Access to banking services, recreational outlets and numerous activities on site.
Regulatory Conditions
Although CCRCs and life care communities are highly regulated in some states, there is no federal agency that oversees these types of retirement communities. However, there is a system of checks and balances to protect the consumer. Is that how it works. Life care providers must submit audited financial statements and reserve reports, generally to the state Department of Social Services, annually. Continuing care contract statutes mandate various financial and reserve requirements to help ensure that providers have sufficient financial resources available to meet future obligations to residents. This is so that residents are protected from any financial hardship that may affect the life care provider. Suppliers must recalculate reserves each year. If the Department of Social Services determines that a provider is in good financial standing, it will exercise its legal authority to require that corrective action be taken.

Selling your home can be a nerve-wracking time. Particularly when it comes to setting it up for potential buyers. However, with the help of a terrain specialist, it can be easy. It may take time and research to find the right person for the job, but it will be worth it.
Even if you’re not moving and simply want to increase the estimated cost of your home or want to redesign it to include an expansion or create more storage space. This article is for you as we discuss some amazing home renovation ideas that you could consider.
Replacement of the entrance door and windows
One of the first things to consider is your doors and windows. Are they old, corroded or easy to break? Updating them with new versions will increase your hoer’s estimate, as well as making it much more secure. When viewed from the outside, windows and doors are really the only things a prospective buyer will see. Making a good impression here will do wonders later.
Small scale kitchen remodel
Most buyers will consider the overall feel of the kitchen and see how well their family could use it. Making a few small changes here might help the buyer see themselves as part of it. Try to buy new small electronics. Change the MDF countertop for stone or quartz. The upgrade expands the storage space available and potential buyers will be more eager to bid.
Modernize your bathroom
Just like the kitchen, your bathroom contains many features that most buyers will closely inspect. This is another great opportunity for some renovations that will make your home look like a million bucks. The bathroom is probably the only room in the house that will require a major overhaul to generate more esteem in the eyes of buyers. To help modernize your bathroom, you can replace an outdated tub or shower. Upgrade the toilet and sink with more modern versions and redesign the walls.
Yard
If you have an extra space outside; a Garden or Patio, then there is another large investment area. Adding a stunning wooden deck can be a great way to extend the beauty of your home. Adding wonderful oak garden furniture can help enhance the garden visually. It can also help make the house look cozier.
Change furniture, fixtures and fittings
Including some simple and elegant furniture can really add a tasteful look to your home. Add some Asian-style pieces, mixed with Hindu-inspired artwork. The mix of styles will help more shoppers see themselves here and see their own tastes, rather than being bombarded with yours. Keep the balance between a neutral home style and just enough stylish pieces to make your home look stylish.
Spending money on this type of feature may seem like a waste of money. However, it is better to see it as an investment. You want to include these pieces to help make your home appear more visually impressive and allow other people to see the possibilities of the home. The more impressed you can make the buyer, the more likely they are to make a higher offer.

In Booth Tarkington’s 1918 novel “The Magnificent Ambersons,” inventor and automotive industry pioneer Eugene Morgan exclaims that “for all their forward speed, (automobiles) may be a step back from civilization.” Little did anyone know, but the Indianapolis-born novelist may have anticipated America’s current fuel crisis.
We love cars and depend on them in countless avenues, from industry to family transportation to leisure; however, the economic impact that gas prices have had on our wallets may just be a step backwards for civilization. The American Automobile Association recently forecast that the number of car travelers during the Memorial Day holiday in 2008 would drop by almost 360,000 from the previous year’s total. This is widely attributed to the rising cost of gasoline.
However, our love/hate relationship with cars, trucks, RVs, and motorcycles continues. This is despite the fact that gas prices seem to hit new all-time highs every day. For those of us who need to squeeze as much MPG as possible out of our vehicles, here are 10 tips for maximizing gas mileage.
Make maintenance a priority –
1) Use the recommended grade motor oil for the vehicle. Most newer passenger car and light truck engines require 5W-30 oil for multi-purpose driving. This lighter oil provides protection that reduces friction and helps engines run more efficiently, which equates to higher fuel consumption. Older engines generally run better with 10W-30 or 10W-40. However, you should always check your owner’s manual or dealer to see what grade of oil your engine is designed for. If you use 10W-30 in an engine designed for 5W-30, you can actually lower your MPG. According to the US Department of Energy, using the proper weight of oil (as well as synthetic blends when possible) can increase MPG by one to two percent or more, or at least $0.04 to $0. .08 per gallon of gasoline.
two) Keep your tires properly inflated. Tires that are properly inflated are safer and last longer. You can improve your mileage by about 3.3 percent if you maintain proper tire pressure. That translates to approximately $0.12 per gallon. Depending on tire size and maximum vehicle load, proper inflation can range from 32 to 60 PSI on average. Keep in mind that for every 1 PSI drop in tire pressure, your mileage drops by 0.4 percent. Due to their more constant rate of expansion and contraction, some sources recommend filling tires with nitrogen instead of air, as racing drivers do. The overall benefit to the average driver is currently under debate, but in theory, the constant rate of expansion and contraction of nitrogen keeps tires in proper contact with the road, increasing traction and therefore mileage.
3) Check and replace air filters regularly. Prevent dust and dirt from clogging your engine cylinders with a fresh air filter. This allows them to run more efficiently, increasing both engine power and MPG. Replacing a clogged filter can improve gas mileage by 10 percent, up to a savings of $.41 per gallon.
4) Get a tune up. If your vehicle is out of tune or has recently failed an emissions test, improve your mileage by four percent with a standard tune up. For more serious problems like a bad oxygen sensor, repairs can improve MPG by up to 40 percent.
5) Use the necessary octane fuel. The octane rating determines how fast the fuel burns in an internal combustion engine. The higher the octane rating, the longer it will take for the fuel to burn. A slow burn is generally more efficient than a fast burn, so on the surface it would seem that high-octane fuel is the way to go. However, 92-octane is typically up to $0.20 per gallon more expensive than standard 87-octane, and the benefit of higher octane does not outweigh the increased cost.
Go Green: Go Hi-Tech –
6) try a hybrid. Hybrid electric vehicles are all the rage in our increasingly environmentally conscious society. Not only do they lower harmful emissions and reduce engine wear, but the fuel-saving features of hybrid engines allow them to achieve an additional 20 to 30 miles per gallon. There are also tax incentives to make the switch.
7) Don’t be fooled by gas-saving gadgets. OK, change the list format on this one. According to Popular Mechanicsnot only do gimmicks like copper tubes, magnets and other devices and unconventional fuel additives show little to no improvement in your MPG, but most seem to hurt fuel economy and power.
Drive well –
8) Have you ever heard of hyper-milling and eco-driving?? These driving techniques center around a few basic ideas. For example, slide towards the red light stops. Accelerate slowly and smoothly. On the highway, set the cruise control at or slightly below the speed limit. Look for fuel efficiency in a new car, rather than horsepower. Drive behind larger vehicles for aerodynamic benefits, like a NASCAR driver, but at a much safer speed. Avoid excessive idling. Use overdrive gears. Ease off the throttle and save your brakes whenever possible. Not only will these techniques improve your MPG by 30 percent or more, but you’ll be much more relaxed once you learn how to do it.
9) Plan and Combine your Trips. Save fuel and reduce wear and tear on your car by doing things like staggering your work hours to avoid peak travel times, working remotely if you can, and using carpools and public transportation. When running errands, try to get multiple jobs done in one trip. Several short trips from a cold start can use twice as much fuel as one longer trip, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.
10) Lose weight. No, I don’t necessarily mean you, but every little bit helps. An extra 100 pounds in your vehicle can reduce MPG by up to two percent, or $0.04 to $0.08 per gallon of gas. So don’t lug around that jet ski, trailer, or a quarter ton of garden bricks if you don’t plan on using them on that trip.
With these tips in your arsenal, you can get the most out of your car’s fuel economy and driving life, help save the environment, and ease that pain in the pocket. Once alternative fuels become more widely available for consumer use, do the right thing and make the switch at the earliest opportunity. It will be a step forward for civilization.

2013 has been full of changes when it comes to the CSLB license application. It used to be the experience that the schema could make or break your application. Now, he’s just a minor player for eight of the 43 license rankings. Although schema is a vital component to any business classification, certain business classifications require that you have a schema that accurately reflects your actual trading experience.
While a properly formatted CSLB work experience form for all 43 classifications is important, preparing a proper experience outline for all eight critical classifications is only the first step.
As I outlined in a previous post, and what seems to be most confusing to applicants, you should avoid including administrative work such as; specific details of the project, length of service, etc. CSLB wants to see what you do in the workplace on a daily basis. What operations are you performing? If you’re applying for the C-10 electrical license, you’re pulling wires, installing 110/220v, installing panels, running conduit. If you are applying for a C-53 pool license, you are installing rebar, applying gunite, installing electricity; i.e. lighting, pool control systems or plumbing? If you are applying for the C-33 painting license, are you preparing the painting surface, repairing drywall, mixing paint, applying latex or water-based paints or stains?
CSLB’s experience form should not include what you do on the business side of things. For example, obtaining permits, signing contracts, dealing with clients, managing projects, providing quotes, etc. The CSLB assumes that all people in business can perform these administrative tasks.
Let’s go back to those eight “critical classes” which include A-General Engineering, B-General Buildings, C-10 Electrical, C-16 Fire Suppression, C-20 Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning, C-36 Plumbing, C-38 C-57 well drilling and cooling operations. The CSLB work experience form is only the first step because you will be asked to provide additional proof of experience. So in this case your schematic should be as detailed and close to your actual experience as possible. If you contact your employer or certifier and ask if you’ve actually installed 220v cable and they say no, chances are you’re having a hard time getting your application into the testing phase.
If you are wondering how to complete the CSLB work experience form, I will be happy to help you. I offer full application preparation or application review.

The obvious answer to this question is, of course, yes, it is absolutely imperative. All children will turn on a television and watch it regardless of the content. Selectiveness is something they learn in their teens, but a lot of younger kids tend to gravitate to the screen and see what’s going on at the time, especially if they’re eating chips at the time.
After-school hours are the most popular times to watch television; That break hour between getting home from school and eating dinner is the time when many children are drawn to television like a magnet, and they sit there until they are physically dragged into doing their homework.
I only have one child, and actually started a family quite late in life, so it was a shock to me when I turned on children’s television to find that in my twenties and thirties, Watch With Mother had been superseded by Grange Hill and The Snotbags. . Shock was replaced by horror when I actually watched ten minutes of these shows and found the content full of profanity, slang, and offensive behavior.
There was no way I was going to let my three-year-old daughter watch this much gratuitous garbage, so they immediately turned off the television until I could gather some suitable material for her to watch on tape.
Several years followed in which my son watched pre-selected movies and recorded shows only. He only watched children’s television at his friends’ houses, and by the time he was eight years old, she was sufficiently prepared with respectability to be surprised at what passed for entertainment at other people’s houses.
Not that one wants to be a prude about such things, and certainly as children begin to approach adolescence, they need to be aware of what’s going on in the world. However, I do believe that a certain programming ethic is geared solely towards increasing viewing figures, and is in no way concerned with the development of the cultural well-being of children.
The show’s content is designed to shock and engage the viewer because, let’s face it, kids love scary things or blood and guts to liven up an afternoon in the dreary confines of a classroom. Of course you do, it’s what children do. However, there is no need to provide them with an excess of things, and we must remember that we, as adults, are supposedly in charge of what our children watch and when.
At a minimum, we should strive to be aware of what our children are consuming in the form of entertainment, and remember that children absorb not only information but also impressions, language, and styles of dress, walk, and talk.
America in Bible Prophecy: Preparing for Its Role in the End Times

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak recently stated that the US economic crisis and internal problems have reduced its dominance in the Middle East. Speaking before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Barak said these problems have reduced the US’s ability to project force. For this reason, he affirmed that there are cracks in his hegemony and dominance in the Middle East.
Unfortunately, this loss of dominance and influence was bound to happen to the US for three reasons. First, the United States is not found in Bible prophecy. This is mainly because he will have turned away from Israel (which the White House has been doing for the last three years). But also, for the US to be absent from end times prophecy, it will have to lose influence in the Middle East by the time end times treaty negotiations begin.
Focusing on this last point, we can see that as a result of the Arab Spring (the uprisings in the Middle East over the past year), the US is in a diminished position in the region. In fact, Washington has lost most of its regional influence during the last three years of the Obama administration. As a result, the US has much less bargaining power than before.
For example, one of the things that makes Iran even more dangerous is that the Iranian rulers see the United States as weak. They have seen the United States withdraw from Iraq and abandon the war in Afghanistan. Furthermore, the relationship between the United States and Pakistan is falling apart. Thus, they see that the United States has lost significant influence in the Middle East and does not seem to have the strength or the stomach for a protracted war.
Furthermore, the Syrian regime is no longer afraid of the United States; because he sees the American president giving ground in the Middle East. As a result, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad no longer sees the United States as a threat to his sovereignty.
Furthermore, the start of a difficult election year means that President Obama is unlikely to engage in a regional peace initiative or anything that sounds like pressure on Israel. Thus, the US will remain on the sidelines, further reducing its influence in the international community.
An illustration of this last point can be seen in the fact that the United States will not be in the spotlight when Israelis and Palestinians meet this week to discuss negotiations. Although this is not a formal negotiation, it is significant that the US is not directly involved and it seems to be a harbinger that the US will not be directly involved in a future regional treaty with Israel.
I have been predicting that the United States will not be involved in the end-time treaty with Israel. Although the talks between Israel and Palestine will not lead to an end-time treaty, still, the absence of the US in these preliminary talks seems to be a prophetic preliminary and lends more credence to the absence of the US in the biblical prophecy.
These illustrations demonstrate that the United States has lost a significant amount of influence in the region. In fact, it has so little influence among the Arab states and European countries that it seems that the United States has already stepped out of the prophetic picture.
So, as we have seen, the first reason the US had to lose dominance and influence is because it is absent from Bible prophecy. There is another reason why US dominance needed to be significantly reduced, and it has to do with the Obama administration’s treatment of Israel.
The White House’s adversarial treatment of Israel over the last three years demands consequences. In Genesis 12:3, God promised to bring trouble to anyone who brings trouble to Israel. It seems that one of the consequences of the Obama administration’s problems with Israel is the loss of influence in the Middle East. This consequence has removed the United States from the prophetic picture.
A third reason why US influence in the region needed to diminish is that there is no place in biblical prophecy for a superpower. Instead, due to economic and political problems, the world will converge into a one world government, which will operate that way for the last three and a half years before Christ returns. Therefore, it will be necessary to eliminate the superpower status of the United States.
With respect to the United States, we are seeing these realities take shape before our very eyes. In recent years, the United States has lost significant influence, not only in the Middle East, but also on the international stage. In addition to the political loss, the United States faces a challenging economic crisis that could also sink the nation.
It’s easy to blame leaders for this downward spiral; however, we must keep in mind that it is God who directs the entire movement with respect to the nations. No one gets any kind of authority or power without Him putting that individual there; and He does it according to his perfect kingdom plan. Therefore, the dwindling superpower status of the US is part of God’s plan to fulfill his prophetic agenda. Although it is difficult to watch America sinking, we must realize that we are privileged to live in a time when we can see God working so clearly to fulfill his plan for the end times. Furthermore, we need to see the unfolding of God’s plan as an exhortation to be ready, because it looks like Christ may be coming for us soon!
