Hello! New to video editing? If so, you are probably confused by the wide variety of video editing software on the market.
When I started in video editing, nobody gave me a proper comparison of video editing software programs. So I experimented on my own.
Tried using Microsoft Movie Maker and other free software. Over time, as I gained confidence in the editing process, I switched to commercial software like Adobe Premiere and Corel VideoStudio.
In this article, I would like to offer you a comparison of the best video editing software so that you can be more creative with your productions.
1. Beginner level
Let’s start with the basics. If you are a beginner and haven’t done much video editing, I recommend that you start with a free video editing package like Microsoft Movie Maker. This allows you to understand the video timeline, splitting, cutting, and how to add basic effects to your production.
Once you have some basic knowledge, get a good beginner video editor like MovAVI. I use MovAVI a lot these days to quickly edit and record / upload my videos to YouTube.
MovAVI automates most of the post-production process for me. I simply import my video, select a default theme, and the software does the rest. This saves me a lot of time, especially if I have a lot to say, vacation videos where I’m too lazy to edit in depth.
2. Intermediate level
Okay, moving on to the intermediate level software. These programs have basic video editing functions for beginners, but also contain advanced functionalities for those who want to be more creative.
In this category, my personal preference is Corel VideoStudio. I have used their competing products like Adobe Premiere Elements and Pinnacle Studio before, but still return to VideoStudio due to the rich set of templates it has and the intuitive application interface.
Corel VideoStudio lets me do things like chroma key (remove green screens from a video so I can overlay another background), add titles, transactions, and manipulate audio. I also like that I can export my video in a wide variety of formats, including uploading them online to YouTube with no hassle. This is my most frequently used software for editing select video projects where I need a fast basic workflow but have some room for creative work.
Advanced level
There are more advanced level video editing software packages like Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas Y Final cut pro. While I like its features (and these are industrial grade features used by movie makers), I find them too expensive. Something like the full Adobe Premiere suite will easily cost you almost $ 1000. I am not paying that much money for a video application unless I am doing this full time.
For hobbyists, I highly recommend using intermediate-level software. Advanced features in pro-level packages like Adobe Premiere tend to be used infrequently. Once you’ve done a lot of video projects and want to turn pro, these packages make sense.
4. Online applications
Okay, so far we have done a comparison of desktop video editing software. But you should know that other online video editing apps are popping up all over the store as well.
One that particularly caught my attention is Animoto, which is an excellent online application.
This is a robust and intuitive online video editor that allows you to simply upload your work and apply a number of automatic edits and effects. Again, very useful stuff for those who require a fast workflow without a lot of fuss.
5. Mobile applications
Finally, if you are on a mobile device like the iPhone or you have an Android device, you will be aware of a large number of video editing applications that appear in your app store.
I particularly like Play your video for iOS. This little app lets you import videos from your phone’s library, then spice them up with effects like slow motion, Charlie Chaplin comic effects, as well as a variety of other cool stuff. Try it.
If you make a comparison of mobile video editing software with its desktop competitors, you will find that they are lacking in features. But they make up for it in terms of portability. Just take out your phone, record the video, and edit. It is very fast and simple compared to a desktop approach.
Also, there are, of course, other video editing apps. You can try browsing the “Featured” or “Top Lists” categories on your iPhone or iPad to see which are the best apps right now.
Ending …
Hope the above gave you a good comparison of video editing software packages on the market. Remember, try to select a package that meets your needs. If you are a beginner, don’t buy something expensive like Adobe Premiere. Get your feet wet first with simple video editors like VideoStudio, then move on to more advanced stuff when you’re ready.
The other point is just to practice. I remember going through at least 20 projects in Corel VideoStudio before deciding to try Adobe Premiere. Once you practice, you will begin to understand the basics of the video editing workflow, and those skills can be applied to any video editing application you own in the future.
Until next time, have fun editing your videos!
Gastroparesis Diet Tips: How To Add More Vegetables To Your Diet

If you’ve been diagnosed with gastroparesis or functional dyspepsia, you know how painful eating vegetables can be. Here are two gastroparesis diet tips to help you safely add more vegetables (and more nutrition) to your gastroparesis diet.
Tip No. 1 Make your own vegetable purees
If you’ve been diagnosed with gastroparesis, you may have been advised to eat small amounts of baby food for easy-to-tolerate and digestible nutrition. However, making your own baby food tastes better and is more varied and nutritious. You can start by investing in a powerful blender, like the Vitamix blender, to make your own vegetable purees. You should also invest in a fine mesh strainer and rubber spatula to strain the purees. Investing in a powerful blender is important because a powerful blender will make your vegetable purees silky smooth and easier to digest.
Be sure to peel vegetables with stringy skins like sweet potatoes. Then simply boil or steam (more of the nutrients are steamed) the vegetables until tender. Let them cool and then blend them in a powerful blender, such as a Vitamix, until creamy and smooth with a little of the cooking water to obtain the desired consistency. Add more or less cooking water depending on what you think will be easier for you to digest. Then pour the puree through a fine mesh strainer with a rubber spatula to speed up the straining process.
You can add a little lemon juice (if your stomach isn’t upset) and sea salt to add a little flavor. Place your vegetable purees in glass containers with a lid and they should last in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days. If you want to freeze your vegetable purees, you can pour the purees into an ice cube tray that you can defrost in the future to make individual servings.
You can use 1 type of vegetable, such as well-cooked and peeled summer squash, peeled broccoli, peeled carrots, peeled asparagus, stemless mushrooms, peeled sweet potatoes, or a combination of vegetables. Use your discernment to choose which vegetables will be the easiest to digest.
Tip 2 # Squeeze your veggies
Investing in a good juicer can help you reap the benefits of consuming raw fruits and vegetables without altering your gastroparesis symptoms.
You’ll still want to invest in a fine-mesh strainer to strain your juice and strain out the remaining fiber.
Some vegetables that are good for juicing include cucumber, celery, carrots, and beets. Wash and peel the vegetables and pass them through a juicer. I recommend the Omega 4000 juicer for this purpose. Remember to drink your juice slowly and in small amounts to make sure you can tolerate it well.
I hope these two tips help you add more greens to your gastroparesis diet and if you are interested in the kitchen appliances I mentioned in the article, check out the resources below:

The causes of the tummy are many. However, some are more damning than others. However, damning causes, when avoided, will prevent you from accumulating belly fat. This article is written to project the unknown secrets on what to do to avoid tummy ache.
1. Inadequate diet and nutrition: indulging in an improper diet, especially when consuming foods and beverages that promote belly. For example, indulgence in consuming fatty foods like chocolate and fried foods will definitely result in a belly. Likewise, indulgence and / or consumption of carbohydrate foods such as white bread, rice, pasta and pastries could also cause it. Also, the type of beverages you consume can cause belly fat. Avoid alcohol consumption at all costs if you don’t want a beer belly. Therefore, you are advised to devise a nutrition and diet plan that works for you and helps you shed belly fat.
2. Leading a lazy and sedentary life: Leading a lazy and sedentary life could result in a belly. Therefore, you should design an exercise and training plan that is unique to you and helps you reduce it. Adopt cardio and strength-building exercises like light jogging, Kapalbathi Prinayama, Tae Bo, aerobics, brisk walking, swimming, cycling, and basketball. Strive to always be active.
3. Incorrect posture is also a cause: the way in which you stand can result in the accumulation of abdominal fat. Strive to always stay upright.
4. Constipation: irregular bowel movements can also cause belly fat. Therefore, you must make sure to clean your intestine regularly to avoid it.
5. Weak abdominal muscles: Having weak abdominal muscles could also cause a belly. Therefore, it is advisable to perform exercises that tone your abs.
Note!!!
You must realize that whatever you do to reduce or eliminate your belly, you will have to condition it with a booster so that it lasts and is permanent. You have to reward yourself immediately if you engage in any behavior that encourages the reduction or elimination of abdominal fat. However, you should immediately berate yourself if you do something that encourages belly fat.

Rant incoming. If you use email marketing, it could be the most profitable spiel you’ve read in a long time.
I’m on many email lists on many topics: entrepreneurship, hypnosis, marketing, food, some comedy and entertainment …
I see a lot of great emails in my inbox.
And a lot of rags.
Here’s a problem that I’ve seen more than usual. I don’t know if more is happening or if I am on the wrong lists; Either way, it shouldn’t happen at all.
An example:
Let’s say I sign up for Generic Industry’s fine and esteemed list. This means that I want to receive news from Generic Industry. Maybe I’m looking for good deals or the latest GI gossip, who knows.
What I’m expecting to see are emails from … well, you know, generic industry.
Instead, what do I see?
John Jackson emailing me with the subject “A special offer for you.”
If I click on it, I see that John Jackson is the vice president of customer outreach for the generic industry, with a special offer on his gadgets for my eyes only.
Okay …
Then 20 minutes later, I received an email from Daisy Donaldson. The point is “time is running out!”
I open it and find that Ms. Donaldson is the Generic Industry Engagement and Marketing Manager. You want to warn me that the gadget deal ends in just 12 hours.
… okay …
How many mistakes are these email marketers making?
First of all, who are these people? Can’t be expected to know who John and Daisy are. I never subscribed to your emails and now you are selling me something?
One of the rules of email marketing: don’t look like spam.
The solution: The name of the email should be the name of the company (for a large organization) or the name of the person (for a solopreneur). Of course, firm like John Jackson, boss whatever, that’s actually a nice, personal touch. But the name in my inbox should be one I recognize, not some mid-level stranger I’ve never heard of.
I don’t know why so many organizations do this. Do you think it seems more personal? Maybe yes, at the cost of making you look like a spambot.
Plus, your emails are your opportunity to build your brand … and a confusing and inconsistent brand is an oxymoron.
Second, these subject lines …
Fun fact: I don’t care about “specials”. Most people don’t. Sure, some people, addicted to the rush to buy things, don’t need to hear more than that.
If you attend to them, I’ll jump off your list.
Most of us don’t care if it’s the “last chance.” to get a deal on something. If you want to sell me 100 tires, I don’t care if you’re offering me a 99% discount. I don’t want any of that.
“It’s the beginning of scarcity, William! Read something from Cialdini, ignorant!”
I have read Cialdini. Scarcity is powerful, but scarcity alone has only recently. I just drew a stick figure on the back of an envelope. It is one of a kind, super rare! Will you buy it from me for a dollar?
Do not?
Well then.
Tell me it’s my ‘last chance’ and I’ll tell you I don’t care.
Tell me this is my last chance to buy a never-before-seen video of Milton Erickson working with a client, and you have my attention (and my business).
I am surrounded by scarcity every day. I only worry about the rare things that I really want.
Also, my inbox is full of emails telling me it’s my ‘last chance’. The irony is that there is nothing more common than a matter of sheer scarcity.
If that’s all you can manage too, you’re breaking the next rule of thumb of email marketing: don’t be boring.
In third place …
Is anyone coordinating these emails?
I often get five emails in an hour, from different people in the same organization, telling me that I only have two days to enroll in their last course.
A smart approach is to figure out the timing of your messages. Suppose you are promoting a course; Maybe send three messages on the day of its launch, one per day for the following week, and then five on the last day of enrollment.
A silly approach is to leave the different teams to their own devices. Readers will go days without hearing anything and then they will receive all emails in one group.
That’s not a rhythm, that’s premature ejaculation in email form.
Which brings me to the next rule of thumb for email marketing: think about how each email connects to the others. Are you overwhelming your readers for no reason? Are you starving them? Is your email a welcome and entertaining distraction, or is it a series of uploads designed to test your patience?
This lack of coordination really hit an organization recently.
They sent me an email with the subject: “This is the LAST you will hear about this opportunity!”
(Ugh, boring! And what chance? If I don’t know, then I don’t care!)
Just to get a ‘final warning!’ (Urghhhh!) About it a few hours later.
It’s time for another email marketing rule: don’t lie to your readers. This was an honest accident, I’m sure, but it was still a lie.
Anyway, let’s recap:
Don’t look like spam.
Do not be boring.
Think of your emails from your reader’s perspective.
Do not lie.
Follow those rules and you will look more professional than half the professionals out there.

Most cats have ear mites at one time or another. Cats with ear mites are miserable with symptoms of shaking their heads, itching, and scratching their ears. Hundreds of these tiny insects are invading your cat’s ear canal living off the wax. The life cycle of a mite is three weeks and then they begin to mate again. Ear mites are extremely contagious and are transmitted from one cat to another through direct contact.
Ear mites are the most difficult parasite to eliminate, but if you follow a specific treatment, your cat will be free of ear mites. If left untreated, they can cause ear infections, swollen red and inflamed ears, or even hearing loss in your cat. Some cats have lost their hearing from vigorously shaking their head, causing a blood vessel to burst.
To check your cat for ear mites, use a cotton swab dipped in mineral or vegetable oil. Fold the earmuff back and wipe the cotton ball on the ear. If there is black residue or a thick substance like coffee grounds on the cotton swab, then your cat has ear mites.
Clean kitty’s ears with vegetable or mineral oil first, or you can purchase a cleaning solution from PetSmart. Clean the ears as directed on the bottle. Always clean the cat’s ears first before treating him for ear mites.
There are a few different remedies for cats with ear mites. You can use the conventional method or the holistic approach. The easiest treatment is to visit your vet and get a topical dewormer like Revolution.
Kill both fleas and ear mites. It is a stain on the vial tube that is applied between the shoulder blade and lasts for one month. Acarexx or Milbermite are two other conventional topical medications that you can choose to use. These conventional medications include “pyrethrins”, which are an insecticide that penetrates the nervous system of parasites.
The safest approach is natural treatment without chemicals. This is not the easiest way, but it is the safest alternative to chemicals. Clean your cat’s ears with a tablespoon of olive oil and a combined vitamin E capsule. (Push the capsule and pour the gel with the olive oil)
Use an equal amount in a syringe and spray on the cat’s ears and spread. Wait five minutes, massage the base of the ear with your thumb and forefinger, and then clean the mite debris with a cotton swab. Repeat this process daily for seven days.
Olive Oil suffocates mites and Vitamin E heals the ears. Another treatment is the use of white vinegar and water. Dilute the solution in half and half. Use a teaspoon in a dropper or syringe in each ear. Place your hand around the base of your kitty’s ear and massage the base of her ear with your thumb and forefinger.
Use cotton swabs to clean the mite debris. Wear this for seven days and then stop for seven days. WARNING: Do not use this method if the ears are red and swollen or have any open wounds.
Garlic and olive oil combined are great for treating ear mites. Crush the garlic and soak it overnight in warm olive oil. Throw in the cloves and heat the olive oil. Add 5 drops to each ear for 21 days. This remedy also suffocates ear mites.
My favorite are Aloe and Calendula essential oils. They are very soothing to kitty’s ears and have done wonders for getting rid of ear mites. Both oils are available at your local health food store. Add several drops to the kitten’s ears once a day for 21 days. The oils have a healing effect, so if your kitty has sore or inflamed ears this will help.
These are the best remedies for cats with ear mites and now you can choose the conventional or holistic approach. Your cat will feel so much better and will love you for it.

You can usually find road signs and online advertisements that say things like “We buy houses.” These ads are typically from real estate investors looking to obtain a property at a discount, such as a property that is in foreclosure. A foreclosure, often referred to as a REO or bank property, is a type of distressed property that has been reversed under the control of the original lender. Real estate investors and discount home buyers often look to these types of properties as an alternative to paying higher prices on traditional retail properties. In many cases, a foreclosed property will sell at or below market value. In some situations, however, they will sell for well above market value. For this and many other reasons, those who are interested in buying foreclosed properties should familiarize themselves with the way foreclosures are conducted before attempting to invest large sums of money in these types of assets.
Common Types of Foreclosure Sales
There are two main methods of buying foreclosures. A person can buy a foreclosure through a real estate agent or through a public auction. If a person is looking to buy foreclosure through a real estate agent, it is generally a good idea to ensure that the real estate agent they are working with specializes in this type of real estate transaction. On the other hand, a person can easily bid for foreclosures at a public auction in the county where the property resides. Most public auctions, which involve REO properties, are held online or in the manner designated by the real estate laws of a given state. Since you are not a lawyer, you should carefully read the laws governing foreclosure in the state in which you are interested in conducting real estate transactions.
The downside of public auctions
The downside to buying foreclosures at a public auction is that real estate investors sometimes bid properties above retail market value. This can become a problem for people interested in getting a return on their investment. Another drawback of public auctions is that the bank or lender is generally not required to offer collateral, and the property will likely be transferred via a deed of claim of resignation, rather than a deed of guarantee. In general, it is a good idea to research the different types of property titles. You’ll want to know what it means to have a certain type of deed for a foreclosed property before you commit to buying.
Title search and title insurance
In many foreclosure cases, people imagine they will save money by skipping the step of having a title search company perform a title search. This is a very risky and reckless practice. When you pay for a title search, the title company actively and painstakingly looks for any clouds in the title that might reappear later and pose a problem. Buying title insurance also helps protect the property owner if any lost title issues lead to legal action against the new owner from foreclosure. For example, the property’s bank or lender may not have owned the property before it went up for public auction. In such a case, the person or entity in the title chain who can prove they have an unresolved interest in the property can sue for damages. Without title insurance to protect the owner from foreclosure, this will generally leave the new owner with a large financial loss that could have been avoided.
Conclution
Although buying foreclosures is a great way to pick up properties at a discount price, a person should always be aware of the issues involved to mitigate any risk. Understanding state laws and taking all necessary precautions will generally lead to a profitable outcome for a smart person trying to buy foreclosures. Those who learn to earn sizeable income from foreclosures will often see the value of using ads that say, “We buy houses,” to help them make more profit in the foreclosure market.

The best way to learn any subject is to experience it first hand. No amount of cheat sheets, checklists, tips from friends, or new ideas can replace the wisdom that comes with years of experience.
The good news is that it is possible to gain some insights from those who have been there before. Our science is built on the shoulders of giants, and our games are the same way.
The following are tips that every fantasy football professional learns from experience.
1. Understand what type of league you are in.
The type of league is a factor in a player’s worth. Brandin Cooks is a good example; Cooks was a big win in the dynasty leagues last year, but he was nothing more than a dormant option in the rework leagues until this year. After gaining some experience, he projects himself as a potential stud.
2. Know the rules of your league’s roster.
Sure, it would have been great to have Marshawn Lynch, DeMarco Murray and LeSean McCoy as your top three picks, but if the starting lineup can only include two running backs, a lot of points will be wasted as another position suffers. A professional always has a complete staffing plan in mind.
3. Vary the selections based on the scoring system.
Having a great quarterback is nice, but most leagues weaken your scoring ability by reducing the number of points earned from passing stats. Aaron Rodgers is worth a high draft pick with six points per TD and one point per 20 passing yards. Four for TD and one point for 30? Not so much.
The most common example is PPR (points per reception). Wide receivers gain value and running back rankings are mixed. Matt Forte is a mid to low range RB1 in traditional scoring, but in a league that uses PPR, he is a stud. One point per reception adds 100 points to your total in 2014 alone.
4. Make safer selections ahead of time.
Not all “safe” players can play the season, but risk can be reduced. Every player available early is a great player. Aside from last year, casting Adrian Peterson over Darren “Glass Man” McFadden was a no-brainer for any professional. Early picks are the cornerstone of a team, and there’s no need to pick injury or legal risk in the first round.
5. Draft for hike after starters and alternates are established.
Having a decent middle starter as a second or third backup receiver might sound great, but it’s a terrible idea. Players can and will go down during the season. More importantly, players can and will appear in a given year. Arian Foster the year he blew up, Kelvin Benjamin last year, and Alfred Blue and Davante Adams this year are great examples of “sleepers,” players who surprised most homeowners and set high-level fantasy scores. The league champion will likely have one or two starters no one expected, and unless a league uses 20 replacement-level players to cover bye weeks and injuries, they will be readily available.
6. Never write a kicker or defense early.
Every rule has exceptions, but think about the advice above. Acquiring a top kicker or defense requires a pick somewhere between the eighth and the tenth rounds – a good range to pick from those who sleep on the top end. Kickers vary wildly from year to year, and many professional fantasy players use a different defense each week to chase down easy matchups. A “broadcast defense” can outperform even high-level defenses. That doesn’t mean the Seahawks aren’t worth picking – there’s just more value in waiting on superior defense.
These are just the beginning. Entire novels about fantasy football can be written, and each and every rule can occasionally be broken. The key is to remember this one word: value. The best fantasy football owners find ways to generate additional value and acquire better players for less cost.
Follow these tips, play like a pro, and win your league if you can. Good luck!
Karaoke 101: everything you need to know about karaoke

The karaoke mania is taking the world by storm! Have you gone on stage yet to sing your favorite song to the ones you know and love? If not, you’ll soon find yourself at the singing end of your nearest karaoke system! So what is this karaoke, anyway? What’s the buzz about the newest karaoke player? What do you need to know to be “aware” of this latest trend? Here are some facts, figures, karaoke lingo, and trivia you might want to know.
Karaoke is a Japanese word, made up of abbreviations of two other Japanese words. “Kara” comes from the word “karappo”, which means void. “Oke” comes from the word “okesutura”, which means orchestra. So “Karaoke” literally means empty orchestra. Karaoke players play the music of the songs, without the lead vocal. So the empty orchestra means you get the music without the vocals.
The first karaoke system was invented in the 1970s in Kobe, Japan, by Daisuk Inoue, a musician. He rented his karaoke player for 100 yen, and karaoke soon became fun.
Unfortunately, he did not obtain a patent for his invention, and someone else went on to patent it under a different name, “Minus-One.” As you can see, their Minus-One system was not as popular as the catchy “Karaoke”, which is why Daisuk still achieved his fame. Word of Daisuk’s new machine spread, and from Japan it has now become wildly popular throughout Asia, Europe and the United States.
Karaoke players are perhaps the most popular in Finland. Finland holds several world records for karaoke. They have more karaoke bars per capita than anywhere else in the world. They hold the world record for the most people singing the same karaoke song at the same time – 80,000 people! What song were they singing? Hard Rock Hallelujah! Finland also holds the world record for the longest round of non-stop karaoke singing – 240 hours!
Imagine that! Now you can use your karaoke system to create new world records!
Karaoke Lingo:
What’s a new fad without its own specialized vocabulary to go with it? Here are some karaoke words you should know:
Karaoke Player – This is the karaoke machine itself. Play karaoke songs or music without words. The lyrics are displayed on a monitor so that people can sing the song even if they don’t know the lyrics.
Spinning Karaoke – This is riding a bike on stationary bikes while singing karaoke. What exercise!
KJ: this is the Karaoke DJ. He runs the karaoke system and gets everyone involved. Adjust the karaoke player to alter the key or pitch to better match the singer’s voice range and add some echo, to make everyone sound more professional.
Kamikaze Karaoke: In Kamikaze Karaoke, the KJ will choose a key number for you, and you should try to sing the song in that key.
Hitokara: means that you should sing the song alone.
Karamovie – movie clips where voices are left out
Karaoke Health Benefits:
And here’s great news: singing karaoke releases endorphins! Those are the “happy hormones” that make us feel good!
In addition, singing karaoke releases stress and tension and helps exercise the lungs. So next time you want to go to your local karaoke bar, you can feel good!
New types of karaoke player:
Now you can get karaoke iPods, karaoke cell phones, and DVD player / karaoke system combinations. China has a Karaoke car. Japan, and now it is spreading to other countries, has Karaoke Boxes: karaoke system / soundproof rooms.
Latest karaoke news:
Jackie Chan will sing the opening song of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics – KARAOKE STYLE!
Go figure. Maybe there is something to this karaoke after all. You should try it!

A retirement party is an event to celebrate a person’s career and accomplishments and is a great opportunity to show appreciation in a fun and respectful way. Similar to any other party, a lot goes into planning a party to showcase a person’s accomplishments. Whether it’s a party for your spouse, parent, friend, or colleague, one tip to make your life easier is to plan your retirement party online. Having a website dedicated to the retirement party will keep you organized and will keep guests informed and involved in all the details of the event.
Here are some great ideas on how to plan a great retirement party that the retiree will remember forever:
- Set a budget
Setting a budget for the retirement party should be one of the first planning steps. You should consider the venue, the food, the decor, the entertainment, and a good gift. Your budget will determine the number of guests you can invite and the price per ticket if you sell party tickets. Your retirement party website will help you keep track of all your expenses, when to make reservations, and when payments are due.
- Select a location
The party can be held at the office, at someone’s home, at a restaurant, hotel, club, art gallery, or casino. Your budget, how many guests, when the event will take place (day or night), and what time of year should all be taken into account. You should also consider the preferences of the retirees if they want a large or small or traditional event. To choose the best location, you should ask your coworkers for suggestions using an online survey.
- Create a guest list
You have to decide who and how many people to invite to the party. Want an employee-only event or one that includes close friends and family? Your budget will help determine the number of guests you can have.
- Pick a topic
Theme parties are always a lot of fun and should reflect the retiree’s character, career, interests, or hobbies. Co-workers can determine the type of topic using an online survey. A theme will set the decor, invitation design, dress code, music, and entertainment at the retirement party.
- Send the invitation online
Inviting guests to the retirement party by email is simple and saves you time and money. The invitation must specify the place, time, date, purpose of the event and how to RSVP online. The invite can direct guests to the party’s website, where they can learn more about event details, including directions, parking instructions, traveler information, and any special or secret guests.
- Buy tickets online
If you choose to sell retirement party tickets, it will be more convenient for the guests to be able to purchase them online, directly from the website, using their credit card. This is simpler than writing a check and mailing it in the mail.
- Select a gift
A gift registry can be set up on the website, with details or a direct link to stores or items that the retiree would enjoy. Usually co-workers will bring a great gift for the retiree. Using the online message board or survey, coworkers can discuss and vote on the gift they want to buy. Some examples of good retirement gifts include books, golf clubs, or luggage.
A very meaningful gift would be one that would also be a keepsake for the retiree. This could be a personalized framed retirement plaque, or you can ask guests ahead of time to send photos or a few words about their experience or relationship with the retiree, and put together a scrapbook to present to the retiree at the party. Another way to really show appreciation is to name a wing of the office after the retiree, which really means how much the retiree has contributed.
The retiree can request that donations to their favorite charity be made in their honor in lieu of gifts. The website can express information about the chosen charity and why it was selected by the retiree. To facilitate donations, all donations can be made online.
- Festive atmosphere
You want to create a fun party atmosphere while still really focusing on the guest of honor. Aside from balloons, banners, and streamers, decorations should emphasize the retiree’s life, accomplishments, and interests. You can enlarge photos of the retiree over the years and post them all over the place, or each table can have a centerpiece with a specific theme related to a part of the retiree’s life or hobbies.
- Entertainment plan
A retirement party differs from other celebration parties, however you still need to have music (you can hire a DJ or band or just install speakers) and someone in charge of taking pictures and videos (you can hire a photographer or videographer or make have a coworker do it). it.) Party photos and videos can be uploaded to the website for the retiree and guests to review after the event.
Since the party is focused on the person’s career, the entertainment should also focus on the profession and achievements of the retirees. Guests can make speeches sharing stories, experiences and what they have learned from the retiree, and toasts expressing how the retiree has impacted their lives. Having a barbecue is also always entertaining and a comical way to show admiration. The guest of honor may also want to give a speech expressing gratitude to everyone involved in helping make his or her career a success. Everything can be recorded and videos can be uploaded to the website to remember all the kind words that were said at the party.
You can create a slideshow and play it throughout a guest speech, toast, or barbecue, or you can have a slideshow running all night in the background as it’s easy to set up and fun for guests. . You should start collecting photos of family, friends, and colleagues in advance that depict the retiree’s work and life. The slideshow can later be uploaded to the website and viewed again at any time.
Another fun pre-planned entertainment at the party might be for coworkers to skit or compose a humorous song or poem to perform at the party and record it for posting on the party’s website. A large board can be displayed with many photos of the guest of honor with co-workers and colleagues, and the guests can sign the board that the retiree can take home after the party.
- stay in contact
The website is a great way to promote communication before and after the party. It’s a great way to make suggestions and share stories and photos. Guests and retirees can visit the website even after the party and continue to correspond, as the website acts as a private communication hub. The website will help share and remember happy retirement career memories before and after the party.
