In primary love relationships -marriage and partner- there are three possible stages. These stages are progressive and sequential; you must go through one to get to the other. Although most of us are stuck in the first stage, to reach your full life potential you must try to experience all three degrees of happiness and fulfillment that they offer.

Have you noticed how unhappy people seem to be nowadays in their relationships? Everyone you meet seems to be dissatisfied, unhappy, unhappy. We have euphemisms for the series of events that inevitably seem to lead to the breakdown of the relationship: “She and she are having a hard time right now,” “She says she needs some space in the marriage,” “He always works late.” the office.”

In the real world of ordinary, emotional, physical, flawed, vaguely neurotic, sensitive, unfeeling individuals, the Beatles and Le Morte d’Arthur understand the philosophy we live by. Whether we know it or not. So when John Lennon sings, “Love Is the Answer” or when, in both waking and sleeping dreams, we meet the partner of our dreams, we embark on a predetermined archetypal journey toward love. But love has three distinct levels or stages in the entire human experience.

These three stages are self-love, love of the other and, finally, spiritual love, and this is what this article is about.

The first stage is the one where relationships show you yourself. This is true whether you are aware of it or not. This is the reason why marriage and couples do not have a good success rate. We think that relationships are fun, the partner an object of desire, and that pleasure and satisfaction can only follow. Some or all of this may be true, but much more powerful and relevant than all this is the mirror that the relationship has in front of you. People don’t like to see themselves. They move away from the precise reflection. When your partner tells you how moody you are, or how impossible to live with you, or how unpleasant, unforgiving, or insensitive, your first thought is to leave the relationship. As absurd as it sounds, isn’t that why relationships often end? We don’t like what we are seeing in ourselves.

The way we approach relationships is as a learning experience, learning about ourselves so that we can grow in self-awareness and knowledge and, over time, become more of the person we’d like to be, less reactive, controlling and controlled, less subject to automatic impulses and more liberated, awake and expansive, more loving, happier and more fulfilled.

The second stage is the one where relationships help you grow in love. Once you’ve gotten over yourself, your repressed emotions, and your unfinished business, you have an inner space for the person you’re in relationship with. Time to be with them, listen to them, act selflessly at times, and love them. One of the primary functions of love in outward expression is to give time. When you love someone you discover that you have time for them. And you want to spend time, quality time, together. As you learn to relate more deeply to your partner, you find that your heart expands and you feel the flow of love within you. Love is a circular, irresistible and endless flow, and the more you love your partner or spouse, the more love you have available for yourself, for others and for the world around you.

The third stage is that in which you live as partners in God or in your Divine nature. It bears repeating that you are a spiritual being having a human experience. You don’t have to wait for time to convince you of this. Although as you get older, it will become more apparent to you. In middle age and old age (even within this effectively pro-youth culture) you become more and more oriented towards the immaterial world and towards your next demise. The inner spiritual world becomes more real to you and your relationship with the spiritual background and the ways in which you live and exist become more central to your life. You are growing in love, knowledge and, inevitably, wisdom.

If you are lucky enough to have a love relationship and a life partner by your side, you look at it with the eyes of the Divine and celebrate your partner, along with all the other gifts of this divine world. Passing through the spiritual and transcendent realms of truth and reality, you turn your face towards God, towards the Divine, together.

These are the stages of deepening love in marriage and society.

Collaboration is one of the most rewarding and productive activities a composer can engage in. It is also one of the most challenging. Co-writing will stretch you in ways you can’t even imagine in advance.

Take a look at the Billboard Singles charts and you’ll notice that the vast majority of hit songs were written by 2 or more writers. Why? Because many composers have found that the collaborative whole is much greater than the sum of the parts of solo writing. We are all human, with strengths that we can capitalize on, as well as weaknesses that we can complement with the strengths of others.

Many artists find that writing alone year after year is limiting. The multifaceted approach can produce flashes of brilliance, but solo writers often find themselves stuck in a rut.

If you feel the need to merge with other talents, first look at yourself as a songwriter from an objective point of view. Imagine your next co-author date as a potluck—what will you bring to the party?

o Are you passionate, enthusiastic, hard-working and fun?

o Are you willing to dedicate time, energy, money and your heart to the noble cause of making good music?

o Do you have unique talents and powerful things to say in your songs?

o Are you willing to give and listen to constructive feedback?

o Are you familiar with the ground rules and terminology of your chosen field?

and more important:

o Have you generated a body of work that shows your strengths as a writer?

BE LIKE A MAGNET

How can you attract quality co-writers? First of all, let’s face it, most talented and successful writers aren’t looking to bail you out. However, many will want to collaborate if it looks like they will gain something of value from the association. So your job is to create material that other writers think will contribute to your success.

And keep in mind that most people want to work with partners who have reached a comparable level of development. I can’t wait for Serena Williams to ask me out to play tennis, or for Tiger Woods to challenge me to a round of golf, until I work on my game a little bit more. Why should the composition be any different?

May your goal be to become a collaborator magnet. This means putting your contributions in the best possible shape before you walk in the door.

You will inevitably be judged by the actual goods you bring to the table. And if you are honest, you will admit that you are weighing your potential collaborators in the same way. This is how it should be. Look with an objective eye at your body of work thus far.

You have:

o Carefully written lyrics, presented in the form of an identifiable song?

o Better versions of instrumental tracks, melodies, hooks and/or riffs?

o Lists of possible titles?

o Any possible “song starts”?

o Any finished songs professionally demoed?

These are the “business cards” that you will introduce to other songwriters and artists. You want to rigorously hone them so you can display them proudly, confident in their worth, without apologizing, embarrassing, or excusing yourself for their shortcomings. Isn’t that the standard of quality you would expect in return?

You “pay your fair share” by polishing your talents, your diamonds, until they shine. Eventually, if you take your own gifts seriously, word will spread that you have something valuable to offer. This process is sometimes called “eating your way up the musical food chain.” It doesn’t happen overnight. There are no “quick fixes”, as in any serious field of activity.

“YOU GOT TO KISSA LOTTA FROGS”

Participation is the key. Join, play, take risks… basically, you have to put your talent, your heart and your soul on the line! Nobody knocks on your door out of the blue, begging you to co-write. You have to make a concerted and consistent effort to create writing relationships from scratch.

In fact, I’ve found that collaborating is a lot like…dating!

o Some collaborations are adventures: good for some songs, but not long term.

o Some are nightmares: you want to run screaming in the opposite direction.

o Some are unrequited: you feel the urge, but your partner doesn’t.

o And, luckily, some are magical: you stay with them for a long time, maybe even forever.

And yes, it can be heartbreaking. But I guarantee you will feel completely alive! There is never a dull moment in this quest, because you and your co-writer aspire to the great calling of creating great works of art together.

You just have to keep writing, rewriting and publishing it, trusting that you will eventually attract like-minded souls. So where exactly are these like-minded souls hiding?

A few days of research can bring you a wealth of opportunities. Here are a few ways that have produced results for me, and I’ve collaborated with at least a hundred other writers since 1983:

o Take a songwriting class.

o Find a teacher, or better yet, a mentor.

o Start a local songwriting support group.

o Hire or form a band, even if it is only for a limited number of performances.

o Join a performing rights organization (ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC in the US)

o Check out programs offered by trade music organizations like The Songwriters Hall of Fame, The Recording Academy, Women In Music, Nashville Songwriters Association, etc.)

o Join the various songwriting communities online, just Google it! Myspace.com offers a whole new realm of possibilities.

o Check local publications and listings for exhibits, classifieds, and open mics.

o Search the Internet for artists in your line of music.

o Go to local music stores and check their bulletin boards, or put up your own sign.

o Post a free ad on Craigslist.com.

o Read or subscribe to publications about the music business.

You are only limited by your imagination and your level of commitment.

In short, there is no such thing as a free lunch, but there is a delicious feast available if you are willing to put your own talents to use. How’s that for a mixed metaphor?

Finally, I suggest that people fearlessly delve into their deepest selves when writing songs. Listeners can always tell when you’re being sincere and real.

In one word:

o Write your truth, and write A LOT.

o Dare to write horrible songs in search of brilliant ones.

o Create a support team that will hold you to higher standards.

o Build on your strengths and complement your weaknesses as a writer, musician, singer, and engineer.

o Read the books, do the exercises, subscribe to the publications… know your field!

o Participate in the hilt, building relationships with a variety of potential partners.

If you go to the archives of any commercial TV station and pull footage from a 1960s news bulletin and view those footage with a stopwatch, you’ll find the average length of the quote (known as a sound bite or news catch) of the person interviewed for the story is about 60 seconds.

If you watch commercial TV tonight with your stopwatch at the ready and time each sound bite or news clip, the average duration will be seven seconds.

How do you do this, especially for television? Here are my top 10 tips:

1. Dress well.

In the powerful visual medium of television you will be judged on your appearance. Patterns and colors of clothing will add to the impact of your on-camera interview. Avoid clothing with lots of patterns or patterns. A dark jacket (blue, black, charcoal, or navy blue) with a white shirt/blouse always looks good on camera. Take a cue from what TV news readers wear. 5. Keep calm.

7. Never say no comment.

Journalists will believe ‘where there is smoke there is fire’. Don’t comment, but back this up with a valid reason.

8. Drink plenty of water.

Stay hydrated and avoid caffeine and milk before an interview. Milk clogs the salivary glands and causes dry mouth. This manifests itself in the common nervous habit of licking dry lips.

9. Live in the moment.

Elite athletes discuss and practice how to get in the zone for peak performance. You need to do the same.

Try this: Relax, close your eyes, and take three deep breaths, focusing on clearing your mind. Then visualize a time in the past when you felt highly motivated and confident. Capture this moment in your mind and anchor those feelings. Place this mental image into your right hand and fire into a fist. Cover this fist with your left hand. Repeat this process until you can instantly put yourself in a state of maximum performance.

10. Review, Evaluate and Improve.

After each media interview, always review:

What worked well?

What could be improved?

What will I work on next time?

I remember it like it was yesterday… the first time I saw the dungeon.

I was about 14 years old and had just joined the YMCA. My parents thought it would be a great place for me as there was a pool, billiards, ping pong and many other things to do. There are many classes in progress, etc. however, he had other ideas. It was the first time I saw Roger DeCarlis.

Roger was a Mr. America caliber bodybuilder with a phenomenal physique. To me, a young mother, she looked larger than life.

The weight room at the Y could be considered a dungeon. No heat in the winter and no air in the summer. Temperatures reached close to 100 degrees on some summer days and it was wise to get in and out early.

You had to go down a flight of concrete stairs and enter a 14 x 14 room. The walls of the room were block…painted yellow. Connected to the first room was another room approximately 20 x 14 in which there was additional equipment. This was a weightlifting gym in its own right and all you saw were 100 pound plates, Olympic bars, power racks, squat racks, benches, and a myriad of dumbbells with absolutely no visual value…again, it seemed a dungeon Along with that was a plate-loaded leg extension machine that doubled as a push-up. There was a cable pull, a leg press machine, not a sled…and a set of dip bars. They were all dressed in rust. That was the extent of it. The windows, on one wall…I think three, were shoulder-high, looking out onto the street where passers-by peered out. There they would observe the screaming, grunting, metal banging, chalk everywhere, and the smell of ammonia capsules just before performing a record squat, deadlift, or bench press. This was not some pamby namby gym you would find today that has alarms if you growl! No way! This was serious stuff!

In those days, we were considered another species of culture, we hardly understood why we put our bodies to that kind of physical stress. Little did they know that we were competing against ourselves in the deepest parts of our souls.

Roger got up from the leg extension machine and could hardly believe his eyes. He looked like superman to me. The first thing I saw was a huge chest, thick shoulders and massive arms. His small waist added to the symmetry of his physique and made everything seem even bigger.

Roger normally weighed around 190 at 5’7 but was always rock hard. Over a 30-inch waist with close to 19-inch arms (yes, I saw them measured) he was amazing. His legs were big but not as developed and with the muscular separation of his upper body, but certainly not for the reason of not working them hard. I’ve seen him do 20 reps with 640 pounds in the squat below parallel on each rep. Think of that for a bodybuilder weighing 190! His entire bodybuilding career, Roger would literally go through hell trying to bring his legs to his upper body development. His back was also a sight to behold, huge thick erectors and a thick, wide dorsal spread and square of traps. Roger was all business, as he would soon find out. He wouldn’t say a word while he was in the gym in any social way and his focus was that of a man possessed. You always thought he was just mad, but the funny thing is that he really didn’t care what you thought… all that mattered was his mission that day… training! I learned focus and discipline from this man.

It didn’t take long to realize that this was not a social ritual. I must have been a real nuisance in those days because Roger finally got tired of all my questions and went around and agreed to let me train with him. Our workouts were just as I witnessed them when I first met Roger… all business. There was absolutely no problem during training. Each repetition was deliberate, without impulse, and I learned to focus each repetition with my mind, to visualize and feel the repetition. Roger moved with very little rest despite using weight in exercises that were almost ridiculous, he was extremely strong. He built his entire physique with barbells and dumbbells, but he attributes his advantage to his mind and focus.

Fast forward a few years…it’s no longer around 1971 but around 1977. Roger and I, although we no longer train together, are still great friends…as we are today. By now, I’ve been introduced to high intensity training by people like Mike Mentzer who burst onto the bodybuilding scene by storm. He called the Heavy Duty version of him and it was. Mike, after working with Arthur Jones, turned bodybuilding on its head. He showed bodybuilders how to use their ability to think critically while proving that the theory of more is better does not apply to bodybuilding. Further proving that we don’t need to be our own scientists as the muscle magazine implies… searching in the dark for what works for us. His theory of high intensity training lives on today and his rational approach to bodybuilding is a guide for all. He was considered the thinking man’s bodybuilder.

Although I didn’t know about High Intensity Training theory before that, my training was brief, infrequent, and intense by necessity. At the time, my goal was to get as big and strong as I could. The only way to do it was to get rid of all the fluff exercises that got in the way and stole my energy and focus and just do the moves that made me stronger. And I got strong.

It was and is all about focus! I only did one working set… I mean, one set to failure for each exercise. I just did the basics…bench press, squats, rows, deadlifts, leg press, close grip bench, dips and partials. I completely eliminated from my workouts any direct bicep exercises, shoulder exercises, calf exercises, chin ups, dumbbell movements like flies, etc. I only did what would help me become stronger. And knowing that strength and muscle size is relative… what do you think happened? You got it! I grew up and became the strongest of all time and in doing so the greatest of all. At that time I was training maybe three days a week…sometimes two…what I learned later was still too much. I was doing about three sets per workout… period… but with immense focus… it was all business as I had learned early in my career.

Oh yes, others walked into the gym and went through the motions without the mental focus…true…but they never changed, they lacked the same focus and the same vision that would lead them to their goals…it was a social problem. ritual for them. They enjoyed being there. Maybe their goals and purposes didn’t exist or maybe they didn’t know how to focus on them… I guess we’ll never know, never mind.

My preparation for each training was like a planned mission. I would focus and really see what I was going to do. I would keep a log book and check the weights. I was doing a self-hypnosis visualization routine every day in preparation for the next workout, this alone helped me in an amazing way to reprogram my mind for success. When I went to the gym, it was all business. I never spoke to anyone and everyone knew it. It was like the movie “Over the Top” with Sylvester Stallone when he’s ready for wrestling and turns his cap backwards like he flips a switch, which is his signal that it’s time to do business. In fact, I still have a t-shirt I got 35 years ago with the Tasmanian Devil on it… you know, that Looney Tunes character that spins around! The twin brothers who gave it to me told me this is what I looked like when I walked into the gym and started my workout…like a person possessed.

I still train this way today. It’s all business and certainly not a social ritual. Of course, I have a deep understanding these days of anaerobic exercise and understand now that training is just a stimulus and always a negative in the equation because it takes away growth reserves. Looking back like a wise man in a movie, I think to myself… “If I knew then what I know now,” I would have trained less often and with more rest.

My own personal workouts today are 7-15 minutes long…done once every 6-8 days, thanks again to the wisdom of Mike Mentzer and his work on high intensity training theory.

I often see trainers (not all) wasting precious time with clients at the gym…burning through an hour easily…probably because that’s how they get paid. The sad thing is that it is truly a social ritual. They have them doing dumbbell curls while balancing on a ball (only half exaggerating)… standing on their heads while talking about how the weekend went, while throwing the weight up and down. His understanding of anaerobic exercise is very limited and his approach conveyed to his clients is less than desirable to reach his intended goal. My clients train no more than 7-15 minutes because it is impossible to train more than that.

As Greg (Anderson, another HIT trainer and colleague in Seattle) said in his article, High Intensity Strength Training: More Aerobics than Aerobics… “It usually takes a few workouts before the client understands the depth and magnitude of cardiovascular compromise possible from strength training As one of my students recently commented (after a set of squats to total failure followed by 20 seconds of effort against the bar in the bottom position): “OMG! (gasp, gasp…) this is more aerobic than aerobics…”

In fact, when we talked a couple of weeks ago, we were laughing about how little exercise is needed when you’re focused and working hard instead of long. One in particular was about another athlete in Seattle, I think… a die-hard HIT who trains for minutes every 9 days.

Building muscle is nothing more than a stimulus. Stimulate your muscles with an intense workout, and then leave the gym to allow adaptation to take place…that is, your entire body to build additional muscle for the next round. This requires focus and vision and is as far removed from a social ritual as there is. And the most important thing to remember, because the body has the ability to increase strength by 300%, while its recovery capacity increases by at most 50%, then as you get stronger, you have to reduce both the volume as the frequency to continue progressing towards your genetic potential. . It is never necessary to take a layoff due to overtraining, as there is never any overtraining if it is managed properly.

If you’re serious about your progress, HIT IT HARD, 7-15 minutes is all (H)IT needs! And don’t forget to focus and prepare for your mission!

The demons that confront man
The devil is a popular word and there is no man or woman who has not heard of it. In Hinduism also demons are part of the religion. The concept of demons in Hinduism is not like in the Christian religion. In Christianity, the concept of Demon is associated with Satan. In Hinduism, the concept of Demon is the antithesis of God. Islam also has its fair share of demons which are known as ‘Jinn’s. These are supernatural beings with evil powers. In Islam, the leader of the “jinn” is Iblis or Satan.

Virabhadra

Many also classify this deity as a god because he has temples dedicated to him. However, he is a demon as he was created by Shiva, the main Hindu deity to fight against Daksha. Virabhadra is a patron of occult practices and strange beliefs are associated with his name.

Andhaka

Andhaka was the third son of Shiva. Legend relates that Andhaka was created from a tear of Lord Shiva, but he angered the god as he lusted after Shiva’s consort, Parvati. Shiva thus killed him.

Koka and Vikoka

Goddess Kali had twin sons named Koka and Vikola. These twins are considered demons as they represent wars and battles. They are present every time a war is waged and they also instigate war and misery.

Vinayaka

Vinayaka is a group of four troublesome demons who create obstacles. The group of four Vinayakas merged into one deity named Vinayaka whom Rudra named as the “Leader of the Ganas”. The ancient Puranik literature refers to these demons.
