2010 Lincoln Navigator Engine Gets Flex Fuel Technology

The Lincoln Navigator is an American-made full-size luxury SUV that has been produced by the Ford Motor Company and sold under the Lincoln brand since 1998. The vehicle directly competes with other large luxury SUVs such as the Cadillac Escalade and the GMC series. Denali.

The 2010 car comes standard with a 5.4-liter engine that produces 300 horsepower. The eight-cylinder engine also produces 365 pound-feet of torque at 3,750 revolutions per minute. The Lincoln Navigator comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission. The car doesn’t have an overly powerful engine, but it still has a very good towing capacity of 9,000 pounds.
 
To help with fuel costs, the 2010 car engine comes with a flexible fuel capability. Flex fuel cars can run on both regular gasoline and gasoline blended with ethanol or other gases.

Most reviews of the 2010 car say that the Navigator’s engine is not enough compared to other cars in its class. The Navigator’s main competition for American-made SUVs is the Cadillac Escalade, which comes with a much more powerful engine than the 300 horsepower produced by the Navigator. One of the advantages of the Lincoln Navigator over the more powerful Escalade is better fuel efficiency.

The 2010 car is the fourth Navigator produced in the third generation of the SUV. Engine options within this Navigator remain unchanged since the car was first introduced in 1998. The flex-fuel engine option was first introduced in 2008, but has become standard with the 2010 car.
