Must-See Disney Attractions

Although all Disney locations are fabulous and should be a part of everyone’s childhood at one point or another, there are certain attractions that are simply not to be missed! Whether at their Florida or California locations, each has special and unique attractions that are sure to please! Whether you like the classic attractions or you prefer new rides and attractions, Disney has something for everyone.

A truly successful attraction takes you out of your life and transports you to the place and time of the attraction. Take “Finding Nemo,” for example, at Disneyland in Anaheim. You get on a yellow submarine to experience the world from Nemo’s point of view. As the submarine plunges deeper into the water, you get to see what it’s like to live under the sea and be a part of the drama that unfolds. It is a true escape from reality. The graphics and technology of the Star Tours attraction are second to none. Once strapped into the passenger seat of the spaceship-like cockpit, you’ll be whisked off into deep space where you’ll feel every bump, acceleration and plummet in this hair-raising adventure.

A Disney classic that is also one of my favorites is Space Mountain. Even though they just completed their renovation, it’s even better than before! Just when you think the journey is over, another sharp turn into the dark caverns takes you by surprise. I love it every time! Another classic that many qualify as the best ride ever made is that of Pirates of the Caribbean. Before the movie was even a wink of an idea, this ride wowed visitors with its darkly comedic plot along with its boat-style ride and lifelike scenery. I never miss this one when I visit Disneyland! My third favorite class is another attraction found at Disneyland in Anaheim: Haunted Mansion. I still can’t figure out how they make those ghosts dance on the dance floor or appear next to you in the mirror you look in when the ride is over! Truly genius!

If you’re visiting Disney’s California Adventure or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll definitely want to visit the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This exciting combination of a scary tale and a free fall ride makes for a ride you’ll never forget! With so many unexpected plot twists and journey, you’ll feel like a part of the story the moment you set foot inside. Another favorite at California Adventure and Epcot is Disney’s Soarin’ Over California attraction. With the feeling of flying over the diverse landscapes that make California so unique, you can’t help but want to go to this one again and again!

Maybe you’re ready for a short day trip to one of the Disney locations in Florida or California. Or maybe you’re ready to take the plunge and stay at one of Disney’s Resorts and spend a week exploring the parks and surrounding areas. Either way, you’re sure to find that the Disney attractions will leave you breathless and feeling like you’ve just stepped out of reality and into “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
