Honking Achievements – Follow South Geese to Success in 5 Easy Steps

Everyone knows when geese fly overhead that winter is not far behind. His honking V formation salutes his journey and tenacity, bringing with it the understanding that we need a plan. Seriously, if God gave the geese a plan and sends them south in Victoria formation, then why should we be any different? So what is your plan for success? Here are some suggestions to get started:

# 1 – Get started.

If you sit there, you will be stuck in mud and trash forever. So the first step is to get started. Do something. Take a running jump in flight and raise your carcass in the air. You will never get anywhere if you are sitting in the mud. Geese give everything to be able to fly.

# 2 – Joint Venture.

Find a friend; you can’t do all this yourself. Take someone with you. Find a friend who wants to go in the same direction you want to go, add him to your team and go the distance. You can do this, but you must have someone on your team. Geese never fly alone.

# 3 – Determine leadership.

There has to be a chain of command. You can’t go 90 directions and end up anywhere. Decide who is leading and willing to follow. However, don’t be an energy hoarder, sometimes you have to let your friend lead you. He may know more about the direction than you do or have more strength to fight the winds. Geese change leaders frequently, so they don’t get too tired.

# 4 – Stay motivated.

Cheer up with bonuses and rewards. Motivation is important, keep moving forward. Give your friends lots of praise and appreciation for their efforts, and remember to sing your own compliments from time to time as well. Geese don’t honk for fun, they cheer each other on.

# 5 – Stay focused.

When geese fly south, they don’t look back. They are peaks that point south and keep moving. Focus on your goal and don’t look back. Keep going until you get there. Of course, you will stop from time to time to smell the roses, eat some grain and have a drink, but don’t stop too long. Get back in the air and fly!
