Women’s Handbags: Fake or Real The Million Dollar Question

Have you ever searched the net for women’s handbags or purses? There’s quite a selection out there, isn’t there? But distinguishing the fake from the real can be the million dollar question.

There are so many designer handbags and purses to choose from, as well as many names you’ve probably never heard of before. So what is the best option?

And when you start looking at designer handbags, how do you know when you’re looking at the real thing and when you’re looking at knockoffs? After all, you don’t want to get ripped off, do you?

Now don’t confuse replicas with imitations. The replicas are sold in legitimate stores and do not infringe copyright laws. The replicas resemble popular designer handbags, but are not exactly the same and do not violate any laws.

They are usually made from more affordable materials that the general population can afford and do not have the designer’s name attached to them. So, for example, Walmart might sell a line of wallets that are similar to a Coach line.

Imitations, on the other hand, break all the rules. They are a direct copy of a designer bag and usually originate from overseas. These bags use inferior materials and do not last.

What’s even worse is when you come across one of these products when you think you’ve bought a true designer wallet. So how can you avoid getting scammed? Well, a little common sense can go a long way.

1. Too good

Let’s start with if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

2. Examine it

If you are shopping in a store, be sure to carefully examine the product. Look for inferior stitching, poor workmanship, fabrics or leather that appear poor.

3.Reputable

Buying from a reputable site or store can take some of the pressure off of worrying about not getting what you thought you bought.

4. Stay

If you come across a site that seems to offer designer handbags and purses at great prices, don’t get involved right away. Instead, watch the site for a while and see if they’re still there a week or a month from now. You may be surprised to find out how many sites disappear. So you have to ask yourself why? Flying at night is a huge red flag!

5.BBB

The Better Business Bureau is another way to monitor a site or store. There is an online division that checks sites online, so be sure to check.

6.Paypal

Paypal is an excellent form of protection. If the site has a verified icon on its site, it has a variety of protection. Check the paypal site.

7.Investigation

Research is a powerful tool. When you do your homework, you are much less likely to get stung.

8. Common sense

The most important thing to remember is this: if you want a designer wallet, get out your checkbook. If you don’t want to pay the price, be prepared to get an imitation. And remember that you always have the option of buying a replica.

So when it comes to shopping for ladies’ handbags, use common sense.
