7 precedents / behaviors that should be concerning!

Regardless of one’s personal / political preferences / agenda. and / or perceived (perceptions, attitude, aptitude / ability), most agree, the recent time period, which started, around January 20, 2017, is, in many ways, unique and / or, different from everything that has been seen recently. memory! While most of his predecessors, publicly at least, seemed to prioritize the health and well-being of all constituents / citizens, President Trump seems to consistently focus, almost exclusively, on his personal interest, self, and inspiring his core supporters. , by the tone of his rhetoric and actions (or not taking any). Similarly, rather than trying to create and introduce the best path to a relevant and sustainable future, Trump often seems to consider political popularity first. Many believe that we are in a time when this nation will change its current course or begin to prepare for the needs and priorities of the future. With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss 7 precedents / behaviors that should concern us.

one. Electoral process – Popular vote, versus, Electoral College: The Founding Fathers originally created the Electoral College for various reasons and possibilities. Given that much of the population lacked education and there were so many communication challenges, they felt that a popular vote would be difficult to count, in a timely and accurate manner. Rather, they felt that the so-called elite were better equipped to make those early decisions. Also, some felt it was necessary, so smaller states would remain relevant in the voting process. However, since the beginning of the 21st century, we have witnessed two presidential elections, where the winner of the popular vote, lost the election! How does that fit into, what many refer to, like, one – man, one – vote?

two. Trump’s rate of lying / insulting people: When a president appears to lack and / or is perceived to possess a much lower level of integrity than basic, why would many be willing or willing to listen and follow him? Americans, by and large, want to believe their leader is stellar, but when Trump so often resorts to swearing, blaming and complaining, should we be concerned?

3. Partisan nature of politics: When one does not seem, or even try, to unite others, for the common good, a dangerous level of polarization is created, which creates partisanship, rather than unifying, especially in difficult times.

Four. Russia: When Trump appears to be vigorously seeking the support of a foreign leader, and by many reports that nation, interfered and continues to attempt to interfere in our elections, and the president, rather than vigorously condemning, downplays it. , Isn’t that worrisome?

5. Insult; Blame and complain: We discourage young children from resorting to name calling, but this President continually resorts to this behavior! Never in recent memory have we seen a powerful public leader, never willing, to take personal responsibility, but rather, to blame and complain, constantly!

6. Response to a pandemic: Is Donald Trump, a steady genius, a madman, or sneaky as a fox? Your apparent unwillingness to effectively listen to essential reports and then deny any knowledge, when things go wrong, they are not helpful! The timeline of Trump’s response, and handling, of the current horrible pandemic shows, began, spending time and effort, calling it a hoax, blaming political opponents, avoiding necessary, challenging decisions / actions, etc. ., is largely responsible for, what is relevant, the mismanagement that this nation has, in terms of the large number of infections and deaths, compared to the rest of the world!

7. Post Office: Our post office and efficient mail delivery are protected by the United States Constitution. However, it seems that, motivated by electoral politics, President Trump is doing everything possible to damage that institution.

Wake up, America, because if we don’t, we will soon discover that we have lost the soul of our nation! Are you prepared to demand better in the future?
